Did you know that painting eggs originated from a Ukrainian tradition called pysanka (“pih-sahn-kah”). Painting eggs for the Gods and Goddesses of health and fertility.

When was the first Easter egg made in the UK? We all think the first was Cadbury but it was actually from the largest chocolate factory in the world at that time. Based in Bristol UK, owned by the Fry family. They produced the first chocolate egg back in 1873. Then 2 years later Cadbury started to produce chocolate eggs in 1875.
